Bayview Medical Centre opened in January of 2010 is a boutique, family-run medical centre committed to providing quality family medical care and geriatric care for the Clayton community. This practice provides comprehensive care in chronic disease management planning, preventative health care measures and personalised care to all individuals. This boutique practice is located central to both public transport and Monash University. Dr Vito Spina, the Principal doctor at this practice, has been practicing general medicine for over 30 years. Dr Spina is passionate about delivering high quality care to all of his patients. Bayview Medical Centre prides itself on delivering quality and comprehensive care to all patients. With a friendly reception team and a dedicated registered nurse, we are committed to providing our patients the best care.

Dr Spina

Dr Vito Spina is the Principal Doctor at Bayview Medical Centre and has served the Clayton community for almost 12 years. He is passionate about ensuring Bayview Medical Centre responds to the diverse needs of the local community. Dr Spina also speaks fluent Italian.

Dr Ashcroft

Dr Jeremy Ashcroft’s special interests include family medicine, women’s, men’s, children and aged care health.

Dr Ashcroft is known for longer consultations when necessary to assist with mental health issues, preventative health and minor surgical procedures.

Rachel Crockart

Podiatrist

Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from La Trobe University in 2001 and is the proud mum of 3 young children.

Her interests include management of foot and leg problems related to biomechanical issues, such as flat feet, heel pain, forefoot pain and knee pain.

Following gaining her degree, Rachel has undergone further training in foot mobilisation techniques to assist in the treatment of foot pain and also makes orthotic devices to correct foot function

Rachel completes foot health checks for people with diabetes and can provide education on how best to care for your feet.

Rachel also provides general foot care, including treatment for ingrown toenails, corns and warts.

Rachel’s appointments can be Bulk billed if you have a GP Referral, otherwise private fees apply, please call the clinic to discuss.

Ngema Lama (APAM Physiotherapist)

BPT, MPH

Ngema is an accredited Australian Physiotherapy Association Member (APAM) physiotherapist. He graduated with Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2016 from Nitte University, India and also completed his Masters of Public Health from Deakin University in 2020.

Ngema comes from Nepal and has experience of working in both acute hospital and clinical settings back in his hometown after graduation. As a sports enthusiastic, Ngema has also worked with professional football club in Nepal and helped athletes with their fitness, injury prevention and rehabilitation. After relocating to Melbourne in 2018, Ngema has experience of working in both aged care and private practice settings and gained experience in a wide range of musculoskeletal, sports, neurological and geriatric physiotherapy, and chronic pain management.

Ngema has special interest in treating patients with shoulder, neck, back, hip and knee pain as well as musculoskeletal and sports injuries, helping them to achieve the best outcomes and improve their quality of life.

In his free time, Ngema loves going for a long drive, exploring new places, spending time with family and friends, and cooking good meals.
